Please prepare the relevant supporting documents according to the selected .MY domain category.
• For .com.my/.net.my/.org.my/ – Require Company/Organization Registration Certificate (i.e. form D, B, 8, 9, 13, 19, 83, 83A)
• For .my/.name.my – Require Photocopy of Malaysia Identity Card (both side).
• For .edu.my – Require Official Education License certificate issued by Ministry of Education.
• For .gov.my – Require Official Letter from Department of Head of relevant government organizations.
Supporting-document requirements are subject to the latest MYNIC policies and verification.

What happens after a domain expires?
The recovery process differs between international domains and .MY domains.
INTERNATIONAL DOMAINS
Expired Internic Domain Process Cycle

Expired for 30 days
Domain name will be suspended and inaccessible for website and email after 30 days expired.
02
14-day suspension
The suspension period is 14 days during which time, payment may be made to reactivate domain name.
03
Released to public
If payment is still not received after the suspension period, domain name will be deleted and made available to the public registration.
Workaround: Reseller transfer with renewal on expiry date within 20 days is possible (applicable within reseller transfer only).
.MY DOMAINS
New .MY Domain Name Billing Cycle
For .MY domain names expiring 16 March and later
01
Automatic suspension
Starting 16 March 2023, expired domains will be automatically suspended and can no longer be used.

45-day Renewal Grace Period
Expired domains will enter Renewal Grace Period for 45 days where you can renew it at the normal domain price.
03
30-day Redemption Grace Period
If no payment is received, your domain will enter Redemption Grace Period for another 30 days where you can renew it at double the normal domain price.
04
5-day Pending Delete
After that, you can no longer renew your domain name as it heads into Pending Delete phase (5 days) before being deleted and released to the public market.
